Only few minutes walk from Chyasal Tole towards the south takes you to a small square called Walkhu.

Many buildings in this square still look mediaval in character. The 16th century temple of Ganesh, the god of goodluck and success is the presiding deity of this Tole. The people living in this neighbourhood are predominately Joshi (astrologer) Maharjan (farmer) and Napit (barber) families. The height of the family houses as compared to that of Ganesh Temple here is much lower which indicates that the locals here still prefer to stay humble to their Walkhu Ganesh, the great.
